Susie in the Pack

Susie is my friend Jim's very pregnant Mastiff.

Is is a WONDERFUL GIRL and due May 10, 2007.

She has been here with us for a little more than a week.

We are anxiously awaiting pups.

This is also the whelping box Jim built for me. It has piggy trails.

Susie has been sleeping in it for the past couple of nights.

Also.........the Eastern Flycatcher's nest I have been watching for about two weeks is now bulging with babies......These are wonderful parents, constantly flying in and out with food for their young. We also have Brown Thrashers nesting under the yellow bell bush beside the house.

I have not seen the nest.....and I do not plan to stress them out looking for it, but they are busy parents too!

I feel that I must mention something here...........As I write this on my blog, my husband Chris is traveling to FL for a Food Show. Without his hard work and dedication to me and his family, I would not be enjoying the life I live right now.

I am so thankful to have him as my husband. I will have to say my Mom was right about him!!
