Hummers in the pack

This has been one hot summer....
So hot that I have really not enjoyed being outside, and that is unusual for me.
I love being outside......it is really where I am most comfortable.
One thing about this summer I have really enjoyed is....
the "fireworks" display I see several times a day.
No not real fireworks, but the bursts of hummingbirds I have come to visit my three feeders just of the front porch.
The little beauties remind me of a fire work show because of the way the come and go.

First it is just one or two to fly in, then another comes and dive bombs the first two....then another and another until the grand finally....all seven to eight buzzing and bombing each other in one big display.......Then off they go, as if the show is now over.
Only with this display, unlike with fireworks, if your patient the show will start all over again. I have really enjoy the abundance of hummers I have had this year. We usually only had two or three, but this year numbers are up around seven or eight.
