Giz, Liv and Lu

Giz, Livie and LuLu went to the Groomer yesterday.
They came back looking great, so I grabbed the camera.
It doesn't take these dogs long to find a hole to dig in....or to scratch the little bows from their ears. My dogs are spoiled, per say, but not in the way many dogs are "spoiled". My dogs are dogs, not people. They enjoy running, sniffing, digging,and taking lots of long naps. They eat one meal a day, only dry food, and the only treats they get are when Chris sneaks them a bite of something.They are not bathed once a week, but they are flea free....and they are crated or put into a room out of the way when need be. I LOVE my dogs and that is why I treat them like dogs....they are much happier and much more balanced that way.
Most of the spoiling we do for our pets is basically done for our own benefit, not really for the pet. I do not believe that giving a pet their basic needs is spoiling....to me that is taking responsibility, which is something we agree to do when we take on a pet.
Now as I said earlier, my dogs are spoiled.....They live with me, but that is because I want to be happy....because it makes me happy to be with my dogs. Dogs do not have to be treated like people to be happy.....They just need to be respected for the living breathing creature that they are and treated in a humane manner (not tethered, or isolated in a pen for life). OKAY......off my soap box....I am passionate when it comes to the creature I love so much....I LOVE dogs!
